Hi Eric, I like the trust, knowledge transfer, delegation. the task or job you're working on seems core - if the knowledge transfer is pretty straightforward and the scope of responsibility is small, procedures may be proxy for trust. Large scope and equivocal knowledge transfer require different mechanisms to support trust.
An aside to this issue = people in global teams (software projects) that I'm interviewing consistently say that at least one in-person interaction makes mediated communication much more efficient. In person, they can assess personal style and mannerisms - maybe personality? This information then makes it much easier to communicate, e.g., if person hesitates should I pay attention. .
Love to catch up sometime! Mary Beth

After a quick glance, I don't know that this really counts as "group chat". Convore looks more like a rethought implementation of forums than real time communications. It's rather well done but doesn't fit the meme of constant stream communications that we associate with group chat.

*off-topic rant* They seem way too interested in associating my other social media with my convore account. As with most other social apps they want significantly more information out of Facebook and Twitter than I'm willing to give them. This is one of the reasons that federated auth is failing miserably. I just want what is essentially single sign on. I don't want to share my friends list with you as a trade off for easy account creation and management.
